New TFHS Activities Director

The Twin Falls School District #411 is pleased to announce Shaun Walker will fill the role of full-time Activities Director at Twin Falls High School for the 2021-22 school year. Walker currently serves as an associate principal for TFHS. Thanks to the passage of the TFSD’s supplemental levy, the district is able to add back the full-time activities director position, which was shortened to a half-time position for the 2020-21 school year.

Walker started his career in education as a social studies teacher in the Cassia County School District in 2000. In 2003 Walker joined the Twin Falls School District teaching US History and Advanced Placement US History until 2009 when he took the role of associate principal. In both districts, Walker coached baseball, football, and basketball. Walker holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Science Education degree from Idaho State University and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership degree from the University of Idaho.

“I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to lead the Activities Department at TFHS. We have always had a tradition of excellence inside the classroom and on the field/court. Building upon that tradition is my number one priority, ” Walker said.

“Shaun Walker is everything you look for in an Activities Director: intelligent, hard-working, experienced in activities, and has a great rapport within the community. I look forward to Mr. Walker carrying on the torch of great Activities Directors that came before him. He has learned from some of the best and our staff and students have a great deal of confidence in him. Since joining the Bruins, Mr. Walker has not only taught and coached for several years but has also had his own children graduate from Twin Falls High School. He cares deeply about Twin Falls High School and its success.” Principal Ryan Nesmith said.
