This advanced mathematics course deals with algebraic expressions, functions and their graphs, inequalities, linear and quadratic equations and functions, polynomials and factoring, exponents, basic trigonometry, logarithms, theory of polynomial equations, real and complex numbers, and elementary statistics and probability.
This course covers the study of functions (linear, polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic), conic sections and sequences/series. Right triangle and circular approaches to trigonometry are studied in depth. This course is required for students intending to take Calculus. This course is equivalent to taking both College Algebra (Math 143) and Trigonometry (Math 144). Prerequisites: C or higher in Algebra II & Recommendation
