Blaine Campbell and his FFA students won a lottery to go see Temple Grandin speak today in Nampa. Dr. Temple Grandin is a scientist, inventor, and author who advocates for humane animal treatment and neurodiversity. She also happens to have Autism. Such a cool experience!!

Let's give a shout-out to our Esports teams who participated in the HIGHLY COMPETITIVE State Tournament at the Boise State Esports Arena. This is the schools 4th time returning to the State Tournament in Boise and this year did NOT disappoint! Esports is in the first years of being an established entity throughout the State of Idaho and we are not currently in a divisional structure. Our teams go up against highly ranked charter and 5A schools as Esports continues to gain momentum. Making it to the State Tournament is difficult and Bruins have shown up in MULTIPLE TITLES EACH and EVERY YEAR! 🔥
Please congratulate our Super Smash Brother Ultimate team for taking 7th place and our all Sophomore Rocket League taking 5th place overall!!

Spring sports wrapped up this past weekend at their respective state tournaments. Lots of hard work and effort culminated in the following state results: A runner-up trophy for our Bruin baseball team, who lost a nail-biter to Bonneville 6-7 in the bottom of the 7th. A state championship in the long jump for Isabelle Pelayo, who also placed 3rd in the 400 m. A 2nd place finish for our 4x100m girls relay - Elektra Cresswell, Jasmine Mottern, Evangeline Dick and Eliza Oler, a 4th for Cresswell in the 100m open, and 4th for Addisen Kohring in the 300 IM hurdles. At state tennis, Millie Western and Kallee Manning placed 4th in doubles. Congratulations to Coach Stadelmeir, Coach Benoit, and Coach Sato for this year's great run at state.

Congratulations to Rachel Su and Brynnley Berett! During the Spring qualifying event, Rachel was named Idaho's State Champion for MS Word, scoring a perfect 1000/1000 with the fastest time in Idaho, and Brynnley was named Idaho's State Champion for MS PowerPoint during the Spring Qualifier. Both were selected to represent Idaho and the Twin Falls School District to compete in Certiport's US National Championship in Dallas, Texas, next month.

Last, but not least, in our Student Council senior highlights is our ASB President, Aidan Stallones. This was Aidan's third year in Student Council andhe did a great job serving as the student leader for the Bruins. After graduation Aidan is enlisting in the Army National Guard and then attending Boise State University. His favorite high school memory was lighting up the bonfire during Homecoming Week with the flame thrower. Aidan's most memorable event from Student Council was white water rafting with the gang. He would like to thank Big Jesus!
Aidan's motto for life is Phillipian 4:7, "Do not be anxious about anything but through prayer and supplication give your worries to the Lord."

Time for another Senior Student Council spotlight, Chase Lyda. Chase is our ASB Vice President and has been in Student Council for three years. After graduation, he plans to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints and then attend BYU. Chase's favorite high school memory was when Spencer said the raisin joke on the intercom. His favorite memory from Student Council was last years State StuCo. Chase would like to thank his mom, dad, family, teachers, and friends.
Chase's favorite quote is from Star Wars, "It's over Anakin! I have the high ground!"
